Just a reminder that today will be our last night before breaking up for the summer holidays.
We have had loads of fun during this last season and we can’t believe that it already the last night. But don’t worry, we will be back!
The new season will start on September 9th.

On 27th May 2016, around 3000 members of Avon Scouts will gather at the Windmill Fisheries Showground in South Gloucestershire for the 2016 County Jamboree. Planning for this incredible opportunity is already well underway.
Here are the dates to save in your calendar: Friday 27th to Monday 30th May 2016. And keep an eye out on their website as bookings open in September 2015.

Finally, the 78th Kingswood Scout Group has made it to social media.
You can now find us on Facebook and Twitter and we will be testing the grounds over the next couple of weeks. After the AGM we will be using both Facebook and Twitter to communicate with the parents/carers in a way to keep you up to date.

On Wednesday 10th June from 18:00 it will be our AGM. After the meeting there will be some fund raising activities, non alcoholic drinks and our famous BBQ. This will be our main fund raising event of the season so please join us at the church.
The Beavers will also be running a toy / book stall, so would be pleased to receive any donations of unwanted toys and books!
As part of our fund raising for the Group Fun Night (10th June), the Cubs will be running a ‘Filled Jar Stall’. So please can we have donations of filled jars. These could be in the form of sweets (very popular with children!), small toys or games, food (jam etc). The jars look great when they have been suitably decorated, so let your imagination go and we look forward to seeing the results!
It would be best if these were brought to the church on the night in time for set up.

All sections in the Group are participating in this year’s charity fundraiser.
We are going to raise money for the British Heart Foundation by doing a sponsored skip.
This will take place on May 21st at the hall and at each section’s normal time. Sponsorship forms have been handed out so keep an eye out for these and please fill them in.
We are looking forward to this active event and raising money for such a worthy cause.

We have had a very successful first camp of the season.
This year we stayed at Huish Woods Scout Campsite in Taunton.
