Cubs 100 – Wildest Birthday Ever!

Cubs 100 – Celebrating 100 years of Cub Scouts in 2016

Cubs 100 is an unforgettable celebration of the 2016 Centenary of Cub Scouts. Local and national events staged across the UK will showcase the fun, excitement and adventure of this special year.

In 1916, the section we know as Cub Scouts was formed (it was originally called Wolf Cubs). Within twelve months, 30,000 young people had joined. Today, Cub Scouts has grown to over 150,000 members who enjoy fun and adventure, activities and nights away, making friends and trying new things. The official birthday is on 16 December 2016 but Cubs 100 will be celebrated throughout the whole of 2016.

During this season there will be lots of activities, and with the biggest celebration (during our season of 2015-2016) being the Avon County Jamboree, held right on our doorstep. Make sure to keep an eye on this post as more information will be added during the celebration year.

There is a fantastic website about Cubs 100: http://www.cubs100.org/
